Claims help

We do all claims with you.

Filing a claim is the one moment your insurance has to prove it was worth paying for. You should not be doing it alone over a web form at eleven at night. Call us, and we will take it from there — the reporting, the adjuster, the paperwork, and the arguing if it comes to that.

What actually happens, step by step

No mysteries, no guessing which department to call. Here is the whole process as we run it.

  1. 1

Call us first, if you can

Before you file anything, call the office. We tell you whether this claim is worth filing against your deductible, and what it will likely do to your premium — information the carrier is not going to volunteer.

If it is an emergency, take care of people first. Call us when you are safe.

  2. 2

We report the claim with you

We contact the carrier, give them the accurate version of what happened, and make sure it matches what your policy actually covers. You do not have to navigate a phone menu or repeat the story four times.

Have your policy number, the date and time, and photos if you took any.

  3. 3

    We explain what happens next

An adjuster will be assigned, and we tell you who they are and roughly what the timeline looks like. We explain your deductible with real numbers for this claim, and what the carrier is allowed to ask of you.

You never have to guess what a form means. Ask us.

  4. 4

We stay on it until it is settled

We follow up with the adjuster, review the settlement offer, and push back when something does not add up. If the process stalls, that is our phone call to make, not yours.

We keep the file open until you tell us it is resolved.

Kinds of claims we handle

If you have a policy with us, you have somebody to call for this.

Auto accident

Including the other driver’s insurer, rental cars, and total-loss valuations.

Storm or water damage

Wind, hail, falling limbs, and the flood question that decides everything.

Fire and theft

Contents inventories, additional living expenses, and replacement cost claims.

Medical and health claims

Denied or short-paid claims, and bills that do not match what you were told.

Prescription problems

A drug suddenly off-formulary or needing prior authorization mid-year.

Life and beneficiary claims

The hardest one to file, handled with as little friction as we can manage.

A few honest notes

Things worth knowing before you file.

  • Your deductible is not a penalty

It is the part you agreed to carry in exchange for a lower premium. We will tell you exactly what yours is for this claim.

  • Not every damage is worth a claim

Small claims can affect your premium more than they pay out. We will run the numbers with you rather than file reflexively.

  • Document everything

Photos, dates, receipts, names. It is the single thing most likely to make a claim go smoothly, and it costs you five minutes.

  • You can call us before you call them

Even if you are not sure it is claim-worthy. That conversation is free and it is what we are for.

Do you have a claim open right now?

Whether you are insured with us or not, call and describe where it stands. If we can help you push it forward, we will. If it belongs with your carrier, we will tell you exactly who to ask for.
